Spanish Lesson Plans

  1. Basic Introduction To Spanish - The students will be introduced to basic Spanish words and sounds that will help them grammatically for further knowledge of the Spanish language in writing and speaking.
  2. Definite and Indefinite Articles - Students will be able to repeat vocabulary words and pronounce over half of them correctly.

  24. Physical and Personality Traits - The students will be able to speak and write about the personality and physical traits of themselves and others.
  25. Present Progressive - The student will understand the correct use of the present progressive grammar pattern.
  26. Presentacion de la comida hispana - In cooperative groups, students will research a Hispanic food and prepare a presentation based on that food and its country of origin.
  27. Presentaciones de Danzas En La Ciudad De Mexico- We will be visiting a web site that will give information about theatrical presentations in Mexico City. As you answer the questions and supply information, be sure to use Spanish.
  28. Pronunciation rules of Spanish- Increase working vocabulary by 25-30 words, expressions and combinations related to the geography of the Spanish speaking world and classroom interactions.
  29. Que Es?- Students will be able to use the Spanish-English dictionaries to translate familiar items into Spanish, recognize cognates and difference between word sounds in English and Spanish.
  30. ROPA BASICA - Students will be able to name clothing items and use color and size to modify appreciating the use of number, gender and correct word order in Spanish.
  31. Shapes in Spanish- Students will be able to differentiate objects based on contrast in physical characteristics such as color, texture, size and shape. Students will also be able to recognize and sort objects by color families.
  32. "Shopping at the Market" - The students will apply what they learn in a Mexican restaurant, by ordering their own meal in Spanish.
  33. Simple Future Tense - Students will be able to use the future tense in simple sentences.
  34. Simple Present Tense - To improve pronunciation, and usage of simple present tense.
  35. Spanish Body Parts- Identify and demonstrate an understanding of vocabulary for colors in Spanish.
  36. Spanish Head, Shoulder, Knees, Toes- Students will use the Spanish terms for parts of the body in the traditional "Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes."
  37. Spanish Lesson 2- Instead of getting a pronunciation of a particular word, you select the audio clip that accompanies a particular section (such as the Nouns or the Colors).
  38. Spanish Lesson 3: en la escuela (at school)- The numbers from 100 to 999999 are covered, regular -ar verb conjugation is introduced, you'll learn some question-and-answer words, and you'll find out how to tell time in Spanish.
  39. Spanish Literature- STUDENTS WILL CREATE A SPANISH LITERATURE BOOK TO BETTER UNDERSTAND STORIES.
  40. Spanish Menu: An Internet Learning Experience- After learning the foods in Spanish have them create menu descriptions using Preterit forms of the verbs. I allowed each of the groups half of the class period (because we do not have a computer lab) to do research on the Internet.
  41. Spanish Pals: Bridging Boarders - Students will actively engage in the pen pal system to improve their Spanish speaking and listening comprehension skills.
  42. Spanish Writing Proficiency: Visual Enhancement of Letter- The overall goal of this project was to develop the students' writing proficiency in Spanish through "real" experiences rather than classroom exercises.
  43. Subjunctivo - The students will learn to differentiate the use of subjunctive vs. indicative.

  49. Una Visita al Zoo de Madrid- In this activity we will be visiting the web site for the Zoo in Madrid, Spain.
  50. Uno, Dos, Tres- Students will be able to count from zero to twenty in Spanish, say the Spanish alphabet with its 30 letters (5 vowels), and recognize all the phonetic sounds.
  51. Verbos - Student will be able to identify verbs in any given Spanish literature and will know how it was conjugated referring back to the list of conjugations.
  52. Web Spanish Lessons- Lessons to teach basic knowledge, grammar, and vocabulary for Mexican Spanish.
