Goals:
 1. Student will be able to identify and differentiate the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus. 2. Student will be able to define the function and purpose of large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus. 3. Student will be able to connect the relation of the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus to the entire digestive system.
Objectives:
 1. Student will read all material related to the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus. 2. Student will define all key terms. 3. Student will color and lable a diagram of the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus. 4. Student will complete worksheets pertaining to the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus that were given by the teacher. 5. Students will see the computer clip/video of the action that takes place in these organs.
Materials:
 A diagram that outlines the large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus. A computer and overhead projectore will be needed. Coloring devices will be needed as well.
Introduction:
 On the first of the week the teacher should first recap what went on in the previous week (assessing the class by asking them questions). Them the teacher should introduce the new material (large intestine, small intestine, rectum, and anus).
Development:
 Each day there is a new work sheet that is given to the students and covers a new topic.
Practice:
 1. The material about these organs in the text will be read out loud. 2. The key vocabulary will be read out loud and explained by the teacher.
Accommodations:
 
Checking For Understanding:
 1. Teacher will constantly be monitoring the student's performance and ability to complete the work. 2. The worksheets will be collected each day and if the teacher sees one struggling to complete the worksheet or failing to complete it correctly such measures should be taken like re-explaining it or providing another worksheet.
Closure:
 On Thursday before the assessment there should be a general overview of all the material learned that week. The teacher should call on certain students to answer questions. All worksheets should be graded and handed back to the students at this time so that they can use them as study aids.
Evaluation:
 A quiz on Friday will be given to assess that week's progress and each student's understanding of the material taught.
Teacher Reflections:
 This is part of a four week unit thus everything build and corresponds with each other. If there is any lack of understanding the teacher should address it immediately.
