Goals: | Students will learn passing zones and which type pass is best to use. |
Objectives: | Students will learn the effectiveness of the pass in attempts to defeating the defender. |
Materials: | Basketball, Toss Back Nets |
Introduction: | Speak of Winning. In any game, students want to win. |
Development: | Demonstrate the different pass. Show the students the passing zones around a defender. |
Practice: | Divide the students into groups of four. Three offensive and one defender. Students will rotate into each position. One passer, one defender and two receivers. |
Accommodations: | I would have to know the students weakness to make accommodations. Modifications would not be difficult for this lesson. |
Checking For Understanding: | Observation with a focus on student technique for completing the pass. |
Closure: | After the student has demonstrated proper passing techniques, I become the defender and have them complete passes by me. |
Evaluation: | Willingness to particapate and the effort displayed in completing the drills. |
