Materials: | *Beach Ball *Color splotch cards *Sharpies *I am who is card game |
Introduction: | Anticipatory Set: Beach Ball Vocab- Inflate a beach ball and write one vocabulary word on each of the sections on the beach ball. Toss it to a student and have them guess the definition of the word their right thumb lands on |
Development: | Give the students the definitions this will begin their guided practice. |
Practice: | Give the students a paint splotch with two to four shades on it on the first they will write the word, the second they will writ the definition and they may also try and come up with a way to remember if they can't give them one. |

Checking For Understanding: | Redo the beach ball game now that they know the definitions and do it with out using cards. |
Closure: | Have each student their choice of one word definition and way to remember. |
Evaluation: | Assessment: have paper that includes matching vocab and definitions, vocab and ways to remember, and vocab and scenarios. |
