 Nouns and writing to persuade
Goals:
 To learn the singular and plural forms of each noun, common nouns, proper nouns & using capitalization when needed for these nouns, using the possessive form of nouns, compound words, becoming familiar with fact and opinion, and applying these skills in a writing format of persuasive writing and in general.
Objectives:
 To identify nouns in each sentence, become familiar with correctly writing the different format of nouns (common, singular, plural, and possesive), to tell the difference between fact and opinion, and be able to write a paragraph using these skills in persuasive writing.
Materials:
 Writing on the board, the book, and worksheets
Introduction:
 Review what the word persuade means and what a noun is, the correct spelling of nouns and reading the story "why don't you get a horse Sam?
Development:
 Writing nouns on the board--the definition of persuade, and going around the room doing examples in class.
Practice:
 Using the book Unit two.
Accommodations:
 End of each class a paragraph on persuasion using at least three examples of the form of nouns we learned today.
Checking For Understanding:
 Ticket out the door--What did we learn today

Evaluation:
 Test will be given every Friday or quizzes and work will be graded on a daily basis.
