Goals:
 This week, students will continue to learn about nouns. We will discuss common and proper nouns and review nouns in general.
Objectives:
 Students will verbally state the definition of a noun with 100% accuracy. Students will verbally identify 3 nouns (1 person, 1 place and 1 thing) with 100% accuracy. Given a sentence, students will underline nouns with 80% accuracy. Given a list of nouns, students will identify which nouns are common and which nouns are proper, with 80% accuracy.

 Smart Board Overhead Projector White Board Paper Pencils Concrete examples of nouns Pictures of nouns
Introduction:
 Review why understanding nouns is important - writing and speaking
Development:
 Play "eye spy" Play "favorite places, things, people" This is the pre-assessment ---collect data
Practice:
 Use Smart Board presentations
Accommodations:
 Jordan and Taylor will need additional assistance. Hand-over-hand help, visual representations, additional modeling and explanation. Tori and Hannah A. may need additional explanation and more examples.
Checking For Understanding:
 Use worksheets, charts and sentence strips for assessment --- collect data Ask students to name one noun that we have not said in class as they are lining up to exit the room --- collect data
