Goals: | Students will be able to identify the benefits of one vegetable, write a Cinquain and create a a table. |
Objectives: | Create a Table tto be used as a template for their Cinquain on vegetables. |
Materials: | Computers with Microsoft office student hand out |
Introduction: | A cinquain is made up of five lines the first line choose a single vegetable or fruit for your first line. For the second line use two lines that describe the first. The third line has three words that give more details about the first. The fourth line is a single line synonym for the first line. |
Development: | Students will utilize the table feature in word. They must create a table using the ciquain format an example of this would be using a single cell for the first word and then splitting the cell into two parts to fit the words for the second line. |
Practice: | Students will attempt to write their cinquain and practice fitting it into their word document. |
Accommodations: | I will allow students to utilize symbols istead of words that can convey their message. |
Checking For Understanding: | Students will present their Cinquains to the class. |
Closure: | I will read a few cinquains that exemplfy the proper format and project them on the overhead. |
Evaluation: | If students are able to complete the cinquain and the table format with 75% accuracy. |
