Topic:

Content:
 Focusing on proper word endings adding s,ing or ed. Not overcompensating the s,ed and ing suffixes for words that do not agree.
Goals:
 To show students proper sentence structure and context using correct endings on past tense and present and future tense.
Objectives:
 Learning proper phonemics that can be challenging for young children in the English language.
Materials:
 Participle paper, glue, scissors and reading books.
Introduction:
 The students are focusing on verb endings they are to identify the correct endings for each verb according to past, present or future participles
Development:
 The students will be required to cut and paste the proper endings on each verb. The students will be given two sheets of paper one sheet of paper will contain three columns each of the three columns will be labeled past, present or future. The students will be required to cut out the s, ed or ing suffixes and glue them to each verb under the correct column.
Practice:
 The lesson will be governed first to ensure the understanding of how to incorporate each tense on verbs. Before the assignment is administered the class will read books as a group and collectively identify the verbs and their endings. They will later be required to add the endings to verbs on the board.
Accommodations:
 Peer instruction will be issued for those students who are struggling with past present and future participles. Those students will also be given word banks to see that the endings are s ed and ing as well as examples at hand.
Checking For Understanding:
 As an assessment they will be required to write another short story about somthing that have done in the past hope to do again in the future and while they are in the present what they are doing now. They will be assessed on how accurately they demonstrate their mastery of the verbs in present past and future tense.
Closure:
 This should be exciting as well as educating no pressure is to be placed on the students they are being assessed by writing about one of their favorite interests. They are cutting and pasting for their assignment. The key is to spark learning without added pressure or stress.
