Goals:
 The primary goals of this lesson is for students to begin to understand th 2 most basic parts of speech. Verbs and Nouns.
Objectives:
 At the end of this lesson, the students should be able to have some basic knowledge of a verb and a noun. The learner will also be able to identify nouns and verbs and translate them into the native language.
Materials:
 Visual aides, 2 transperancies,Note card with simple sentences that include a verb and a noun, 1 work sheet, and 1 form of a simple evaluation. Also needed are an over head projector, children who are ready to learn, pencils for each student, and a copy of the work sheet and the evaluation for each student.
Introduction:
 To begin the lesson, explain to the students that today they will be learning about verbs and nouns. Then ask students if they know what they are.(makes sure that when explaining you are talking to the students and explaing in the native language).
Development:
 To develop this lesson, show the students the first tranperency. Go over in detail the definition of the noun, and then read the examples. Do the same with the definition of the verb and go over the examples. Make sure that the students understand the difference between a verb and a noun, if possiable ask the students to give examples of each. Correct any errors and explain to the students why they are incorrect.
Practice:
 To practice this, put students in groups, give each group 5 cards with different sentences in english, Have students as a group write down each sentence and indentify the verb and the noun with in the sentence. After the groups have finished,have them either write on the board with chalk, or they can simply tell you what their answers were and why the nouns and verbs they found were either a verb or noun.
Accommodations:
 For the students that are having visable trouble, if possiable have the student act out the verb, advise them that when you are able to do something it is more than likely a verb.

Closure:
 After the lesson has been finished, tell students if there is any questions regarding what they have learned.Answer questions in native language and allow students to voice concerns and any difficulties they are having. Give proper help and encouragement to all students.
Evaluation:
 In order to check for evaluation, use exam 1. Have students complete quietly and turn in.

 Tell students that you want them to go home and write down 5 nouns, and 5 verbs for home work.
