 TO UNDERSTAND,IDENTIFY AND WRITE KINDS OF SENTENCES WITH CORRECT MECHANICS.(4 KINDS OF SENTENCES/SUBJECTS & PREDICATES/SIMPLE SUBJECTS & SIMPLE PREDICATES).
Objectives:
 ELA4C1:The student demonstrates understanding/control of the rules of the English Language, realizing that usage involves the appropriate application of conventions/grammar in both written and spoken formats. A)recognizes the subject/predicate relationship in sentence C)Uses and identifies correct mechanics/correct usage and correct sentence structure. F)Uses knowledge of letter-sound, word parts/word segmentation and syllabication to monitor correct spelling H)varies the sentence structure by kinds of sentences.
Materials:
 Houghton-Mifflin book(4th gr.),supplementary sheets, internet,paper, pencil,media center
Introduction:
 Teacher will introduce skill for today by telling the students the information needed to do the required language arts task on conventions and grammar.

Practice:
 Teacher will direct the students on how to write sentences and determine if they are(Statements/Questions) and what end marks should follow each sentence.student book p.16 1-7
Accommodations:
 Assist students by giving one on one teacher assistance, extended time, give the assignment in smaller increments and read all directions with an example for each assignment.
Checking For Understanding:
 Teacher will Check work. Ask students questions about he/she is doing.
Closure:
 Teacher will allow students to begin to end the assignments by setting the timer for a certain time and let them know that they are to work diligently and as hard as they can to complete the assignments at hand.
Evaluation:
 Teacher observation/question and answer period

 Teacher will ask students one thing they learned during the week and to come to the board or chart stand and write it down.
