 To learn how to use previous data and use them effectively in pivot tables
Objectives:
 Demonstrate how to create a pivot table and explain it's uses
Materials:
 You will need a copy of Microsoft Excel 2013 to 2016 (Excel Online does not support pivot tables)
Introduction:
 What are pivot tables and what are they used for
Development:
 We will be developing a table on excel with values to work with.
Practice:
 Practice creating multiple pivot tables and try out different layouts and customization to familiarize with the environment
Accommodations:
 Show other special and additional features with pivot tables
Checking For Understanding:
 Have the class participate in creating a pivot table guiding you (the teacher) on the necessary steps to make a pivot table
Closure:
 Go over the material and submissions to make sure everyone understands how to use pivot tables
Evaluation:
 Make a full fledged pivot table with labels, names, themes and finished
