Content:
 Kindness and acceptance of differences in others. Kindness Respectful Acceptance
Goals:
 To teach students to be kind to each other and accept differences in others.
Objectives:
 Student's being kind to each other and accepting individual differences. Demonstrating tolerance of others and making an effort to accept each other.
Materials:
 Social stories and videos demonstrating kindness and acceptance of others.
Introduction:
 Class discussion about being kind and accepting differences in other. Introduce examples through the use of videos.
Development:
 Modeling appropriate behavior through role playing. Use examples from some movies of intolerance and acceptable behvior. use disscusions as to determine what would have been an appropriate behavior.
Practice:
 Small group discussions and role playing to practice appropriate behavior. Use videos again and social stories to demonstrate inappropriate behavior and appropriate behavior. Have the student's discuss and come up with their view of how a situation should be handled.
Accommodations:
 Be available for one-on-one assistance for any student that may being having difficulties and to be there to discuss their decisions. Allow students to review the videos and social stories as frequently as needed
Checking For Understanding:
 Provide student's with incomplete social stories and have them finish the story.
Closure:
 As a group review different social situations and what an appropriate response would be. Show some views that deonstrate kind and acceptable behavior.
Evaluation:
 Student's responses to the incomplete social stories.
