 The students will be able to: 1.Identify good work attitudes that affect safety on the job. 2.Identify the major causes of work-related accidents in the office. 3.Demonstrate knowledge of an emergency plan. 4.Describe the threat of viruses to a computer network, methods of avoiding attacks, and options in dealing with a virus attack. 5.Identify potential abuse and unethical uses of computers and networks.
Objectives:

 Course Syllabus, Index Cards, Internet, Multiple Choice Review Sheet, PowerPoint program, Smartboard, projector
Introduction:
 �� Morning News Show �� Take attendance �� Welcome to Multimedia PowerPoint presentation "About your Instructor"
Development:
 We will start with the Review of the Syllabus, rules and consequences. I will then tell the students, ��Ok, let��s watch a short movie that represents my philosophy for this class�� The students will watch a short streaming video, titled ��212�� from the following web address: http://www.simpletruths.com/movies.asp The students will be asked to write down a phrase from the video that made an impression them. I will then ask the students to share what they��ve written The students will complete the ��Student Information Sheet�� and turn them in.
Practice:
 After all of the sheets have been turned in, I will pass out index cards and ask them to answer the following questions on the index cards: * Write your first and last name at the top of the index card. * Underline only the 1st initial of your 1st name. *Number the card from 1 to 10 *Using only your 1st initial, write the name of: 1. a State 2. a vegetable 3. a cartoon 4. color 5. TV show 6. an animal 7. Country 8. a drink 9. a fruit 10. a fast-food restaurant The students will then be asked to read their answers out loud. The student with the most answers will win.
