Content: | A game will be created, and it will demonstrate the finances that are involved with the care and needs of an infant. This game will be created to help an individual decide and understand the financial needs that an infant demands. |
Goals: | This game will help teach others about all the different finance strains that an infant can have on a family. This will also help others learn what all the different finance needs an infant needs to increase their personal development. |
Objectives: | I hope that this game will help others understand that having an infant involves a lot of unexpected and expected expenses that an infant will need during their early years of development. |
Materials: | Game Board, Playing Pieces, Paper, Play Money, and Instructions for playing the game. |
Introduction: | Introduce our activity, and explain the instructions and rules of the game so that our class will not become confused while playing this game. |
Development: | The entire class will be divided into groups of 4 or 5, and they will play the game during our class period. |
Practice: | While the students play the game, they will have the chance to see what infant's financial needs consist of. |
Accommodations: | After the game is completed, have the students discuss what they thought about this game. They should have a better understanding on what infant's financial needs are. |
Checking For Understanding: | The students could write a small reflection explaining their thoughtson what an infants financial needs are. The students should have a better understanding on how demanding the care of an infant can be finacially. |
Closure: | We will discuss our thoughts as a class. Hopefully they understand how expensive it truly is to raise an infant. |
Evaluation: | As we discuss our thoughts at the end of class, it will help us, as teachers, understand if we were successful teachers. |
