Content:
 - Page Layout - Page Orientation (Portrait & Landscape) - Breaks (Page breaks, Column breaks) - Line Numbers - Columns - Keyboard Shortcuts - Split View, Read Mode, Multiple Pages view
Goals:
 The goal of this activity is to make a Flyer/Pamphlet that the student could use to advertise a product for their Business Fundamentals class
Objectives:
 - To learn about various Page Layout settings and how to use them - To learn different ways to view a word document - To compose a pamphlet using Microsoft Word
Materials:
 Lab computers, Microsoft Word, Internet browser
Introduction:
 Show the class what the finished pamphlet looks like (1 min)
Development:
 - Show the students www.lipsum.com to generate placeholder text - Make titles - Show the students different view options (Multiple pages, split) - Show them how to change page orientation - Add a picture and give that picture a different page orientation than the rest of the document
Practice:
 - Have the students practice by adding personal touches to their own pamphlets (e.g. lines down the columns, more columns, line numbers)
Accommodations:
 - Explain the use of "book fold" and how it can make having multiple page orientations difficult
Checking For Understanding:
 - Ask if the students have any questions - Ask if there is anything they would like me to repeat
Closure:
 At the end of the lesson, show the students how to print their document (flip on short edge)
Evaluation:
 Can the student successfully complete the goal of this lesson? Has the student met all of the objectives of this lesson?
