Objectives: | Prepare engine for removal. Correctly remove engine without damaging anything. Correctly identify all parts of the engine, particularly those that pertain to removal. |
Materials: | car shell with engine to demonstrate removal of engine, tools |
Introduction: | A basic overview of all the things that need to be removed or unhooked for the motor to be removed. |
Development: | Demonstrate how to remove/unhook more complicated parts on the practise car |
Practice: | Ask questions and involve the students as you work through the demonstration on the car shell. |

Checking For Understanding: | Short quiz asking about important steps in the engine removal process at the end of the class. |
Closure: | Go over some of the things you should do with the motor once it is out, such as cleaning. |
