Goals:
 Students will produce a completed painting where they drew and colored the painting with water colors on their own.
Objectives:
 Students know how to color properly and are able to draw using their imagination and/or by looking at an object or scenery.
Materials:
 Drawing Sheets, pencil, water colors and painting board
Introduction:
 Make students draw a simple object on a drawing sheet.
Development:
 Draw a very simple painting and have students copy and color it.
Practice:
 Have students draw something out of their imagination and color it using water colors.
Accommodations:
 Have students follow step by step instructions given on classroom TV
Checking For Understanding:
 Evaluate and give feedback on the drawings students have made so far.
Closure:
 Finish up by having students draw and color one final water color painting using the new skills they have developed.
Evaluation:
 Students are able to draw simple paintings and color within the lines.
Teacher Reflections:
 Students are able to produce better drawings when they are using their imagination rather then having them copy and paint specific real life objects.
