Goals: | Students will produce a completed painting where they drew and colored the painting with water colors on their own. |
Objectives: | Students know how to color properly and are able to draw using their imagination and/or by looking at an object or scenery. |
Materials: | Drawing Sheets, pencil, water colors and painting board |
Introduction: | Make students draw a simple object on a drawing sheet. |
Development: | Draw a very simple painting and have students copy and color it. |
Practice: | Have students draw something out of their imagination and color it using water colors. |
Accommodations: | Have students follow step by step instructions given on classroom TV |
Checking For Understanding: | Evaluate and give feedback on the drawings students have made so far. |
Closure: | Finish up by having students draw and color one final water color painting using the new skills they have developed. |
Evaluation: | Students are able to draw simple paintings and color within the lines. |
Teacher Reflections: | Students are able to produce better drawings when they are using their imagination rather then having them copy and paint specific real life objects. |
