 1.Learning to play 3 easy Chords, C major, G major, E minor and D major 2.Knowing a basic strum pattern
Objectives:
 1.Explain what are chords and notes 2.Creating something simple using the basic chords and strum pattern
Materials:
 Guitar, Pick, Tuner
Introduction:
 1. Chords are combination of notes played together 2. Different chords have different scales 3. It can be mixed with a variety of other techniques for making more complex and creative riffs
Development:
 1. Spanish instruments 2. Developed from acoustic to Electric using various amps and pedal technologies
Practice:
 1. Playing the guitar at least 2-3 hours everyday to create muscle memory 2. Once good with shifting the chords and strumming, practicing simple songs like The Beatles - Let it be
Accommodations:
 1. Watching live concert videos and interviews from other legendary guitar players like Slash or bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC 2. More and more and more physical hands on practice
Checking For Understanding:
 1. Comparing progress through muscle memory 2. Fluency in playing and shifting chords 3. Giving a personal touch to every song 4. Developing a key strum pattern
Closure:
 1. What's the first song you learn to play? 2. How are your finger tips doing? (If they're not in a good shape, it means things are going in the right direction.)
Evaluation:
 Tracking progress through ability of playing more accurately and precisely with less stops. Developing a proper flow.
Teacher Reflections:
 Learning to play guitar is all about putting more and more practice and increasing the practice hours everyday. It takes a lot of time, patience and worn out fingers.
