Objectives: | what a student can do, know and understand after completing the topic |
Materials: | pack of 52 cards |
Introduction: | Deck contains 52 cards which is divided into 4 suits: diamonds and hearts (both red in colour), clubs and spades (black in colour) |
Development: | one should know 4 and 13 are factors of 52 |
Practice: | lay out all the cards and sort them in piles of each suits |
Accommodations: | List all outcomes of experiment using principle of counting. |
Checking For Understanding: | estimate all the probabilities from listed data, also checkout if the experiment got repeated which will actually leads to better estimate of probability |
Closure: | probability is given by number of outcomes of interest divided by total number of outcomes(usually applied in case of equally likely outcome) |
Evaluation: | This game made students learn how probability works and how to handle simple calculations , on the other side they enjoyed learning about deck. |
