Development: | Have student get into driver's seat and start the car |
Practice: | 1) Have the student practice the basics such as starting/stopping/changing gears; 2) Have student get familiar with steering and maneuverability |
Accommodations: | Slow instructions down if student is struggling to learn at the rate of teaching; reinforce knowledge of rules if not well understood |
Checking For Understanding: | 1) Introduce a challenging obstacle course for student to complete; 2) Quiz on important road rules |
