Topic:
 Aiming in FPS games
Content:
Being able to aim in video games is essential to playing the game well. On the computer, there are multiple ways to change aiming methods.
Goals:
Hit 50% of the projectiles within a 10 minute game.
Objectives:
 1) Turn off "Mouse Acceleration" on computer 2) Lower sensitivity in the video game and/or mouse 3) Learn of hitbox indicators
Materials:
Computer capable of playing Overwatch (including peripherals)
Introduction:
Aiming in video games will allow you to play more effectively
Development:
Set the mouse sensitivity down to "800 dpi" and "in-game sensitivity between 4-8" with "Mouse acceleration" turned off
Practice:
Play a "Quick-Play" match with the new sensitivity settings. Getting used to it will be difficult, but having lower sensitivity will allow the user to aim better (It is easier to land shots with a slower moving mouse, than a faster one)
Accommodations:
If the game is not available, we can use the most basic program to practice aiming... "Paint". We can move the mouse on the screen and attempt to click certain points after moving to check for accuracy
Checking For Understanding:
Changing the way the player aims will cause a dramatic loss in performance. However, the accuracy of the player will also dramatically increase.
Closure:
Although the user will not be comfortable aiming with low sensitivity, they will be able to increase their accuracy. The user will get accustomed to the sensitivity with time and practice.
Evaluation:
Accuracy increases (shown as a percentage in-game)
