How to bench press a barbell with weight.
Content:
Bench press is an exercise focused mostly on the chest and slightly on the shoulders.

 - Warm up - Add weight to the bar - Lay down on the bench - Preform the exercise
Materials:
A gym membership or a weight bench.
Introduction:
Find an available bench press at the gym or at home.
Development:
Explain and show the movement of preforming a Bench Press exercise. Allow the individual to lay on the bench and preform the exercise without weight added, just using the bar.
Practice:
Have the individual add their desired weight to the bar and preform the movement. As someone stands behind you as a "Spotter", for safety reasons.
Accommodations:
Use less or more weight depending on your confidence and your strength.
Checking For Understanding:
Be sure you feel the movement stretching/pulling the muscles in your chest and shoulder area.
Closure:
Discuss some unsafe mistakes that some people make. Also, congratulate.
Evaluation:
Ask questions and pin-point where the lifter felt the exercise pulling. Write the weight, number of reps and sets so that next time you can upgrade your lift.
