 The student will be able to write the letter A on a lined piece of paper without the help of the teacher.
Materials:
 Paper, pencil, overhead projector, markers
Introduction:
 Ask the students, "How many of you have the letter A in your name?"
Development:
 The teacher will begin by giving the students lined paper with dotted A's on it to trace. Then the teacher will show the students on the overhead projector how to correctly trace the letter A. The teacher will walk around the room to assist with students who need help.
Practice:
 The teacher can ask students to volunteer to come up and write the letter A on the board.
