Introduction: | 1. Students will be introduced to the thesaurus and its usefulness for the revision of writing. 2. Students will hear examples of word replacement: instead of Joseph |
Development: | Using projection, students will view a short story |
Practice: | 1. Students will work in groups of 3-4 and read through the remainder of the short story. 2. They will determine which words might be considered to be weak and highlight them. 3. The students will search a thesaurus to find appropriate word replacements. |
