Goals: | My goals are to educate classmates on the emotional aspect of dating. I plan to teach them why males are not as emotional as females and why. I also plan to explain what are some physical things women and men look for in a romantic partner. |

Introduction: | Hello, my name is Angelica DeVoe and today I will be training you on understanding the opposite sex. I looked at the needs assesment and there were two common questions. One: males wanted to know what do women look for in a man? Two: females wanted to know why don't guys show their emotions? With this I realized I could not only focus on one question. So, today I will educate you on both. |
Development: | After researching I found out there are a few reasons why men don't show their emotions. 1. Society has trained them to not be emotional. 2. Men's brains are wired for action. 3. It can cause them help issues. The top five traits women look for in a man are: 1.Mutual attraction/Love 2.Dependable Character 3.Emotional Stability/maturity 4.Pleasing Disposition 5.Intelligence |
Practice: | Four classmates (two men and two women) will perform a skit on good and bad emotional communication. It will visually show the class the difference between the two. |

Checking For Understanding: | After doing each activity my classmates will repeat what they have learned (ex. the three reason why men don't show their emotions) and 5 characteristic women look for in a man. |
Closure: | To wrap this up men are from earth and women are from earth. We're all just people and the best way to work through confusion and uncertainity is just to ask. Once again why do men not show emotion and what do women look for in a man. |
Evaluation: | Classmates will have my evaluation form at hand and return it to me when it is filled out. |
