Goals:
 The student will be better prepared for the language arts test on Thursday. The review will cover VA SOL's 2.4a,b, 2.5a,b,c, 2.12d,
Objectives:
 The students will review previously taught information on plural nouns, reading comprehension, Bushy vocabulary words, exact nouns, suffixes -ly and -ful, and vowel pairs ou, ow, ay, ai.
Materials:
 2 sock swats (made with spray-painted wrapping paper rolls, socks, and ribbon array of words and answers for display on board Questions
Introduction:
 The classroom will be arranged before the studnets enter the room in the morning. The teacher should arrange the desks so that the the corresponding players from each team are close to the same level in Language Arts.The dry-erase board will also be arranged in no particular order with all of the answers to the game for the day. They will begin their DOL as usual and then the teacher will instruct the studnets to finish their journals and DOL quickly so the game for the day can begin!
Development:
 The rules of the game will be discussed. The class will be divided into two teams. Each group member will be competing to be the first to sock the correct answer on the board. The first person to sock the correct answer, will win a point for his or her group.
Practice:
 As a class, the teacher will select students to practice with some random questions and answers on an area of the board but not on the "real" answer board that was set up before class.
Accommodations:
 Questions will be given in an order of High, Med, and Low. Those struggling learners will be given questions that can be answered with more ease than some of the more difficult questions. The object is to make sure all students have a chance to answer correctly.
