At the beginning of class, the students will review what they learned on day 1 and 2 by looking at a graphic organizer. This will also introduce them to the legislative branch, what they will be taking notes on over today.
The students will copy 1 page of notes and color in a picture.
The students will then get in pairs and make their posters over the legislative branch. After they are finished with this they will do a worksheet and crossword puzzle.
Checking For Understanding:
If a student misses more than 3 out of the 10 questions on the quiz they will have to correct them tomorrow.
The students will present their posters to the rest of the class.
The students understood the idea of separation of power and gathered the information over the legislative and judicial branches well, so they should have no problems with today's plan.
