Introduction: | The teacher started out with explaining how to set up the factions to add or subtract them. She verbalized with each student to make sure they were ready to work on some problems their self. |
Development: | At the beginning of each problem presented the teacher modeled of how to do a problem similar to the one listed to do. |
Practice: | The practice of each problem was guided and monitored by the teacher. Any problems the students had could be presented to the teacher and she would explain to the entire class so that everybody would understand. |
Accommodations: | With so student the teacher had to individually explain a problem in a different way so they would be able to understand. |
Checking For Understanding: | After her explanation she would check to see if the student could complete the problem correctly. |
Closure: | The teacher wrapped up the day by reviewing quickly what they learned and gave homework with similar problems so she could see how much was retained. |
Evaluation: | The teacher did explain things differently with certain students but made sure each student had some understanding of what was going on |
Teacher Reflections: | She used the worksheet to let her know whether or not she could move on or if the students understood what she taught. |
