Goals:
 To make sure all students have a great understanding of the activity while enjoying it.
Objectives:
 1. Roll Call 2. Walk/Run (5-10min) 3. Circle Time 4. Activity: Basketball
Materials:
 Basketball, Gym, Colored shapes for autistic kids, and Posters showing the students pictures of the exact activities of the day.
Introduction:
 Roll Call for the students. Students have to go and get their name off the board to show that their present for class.
Development:
 A lot of Modeling, gestures, and cues are shown at McIver. Coach Cheeks Model example of basketball and showing the students how to dribble the ball and how to defend the opponent.
Practice:
 Wheel students try to dribble the ball coach hold their hand to show them how it feel to dribble the ball correctly.
Accommodations:
 Even after Coach Cheeks works with the student. Some of the students runs with the ball and some actually dribble the ball.
Checking For Understanding:
 Coach Checks gives a 50/50% of KP and KR feedback because this depends on the students individually.
Closure:
 Clean up time and a 5 min walk around the gym to bring Heart Rate to a Homeostasis (steady state).
Evaluation:
 Coach Cheeks is a great teacher. Very Knowledgeable of the information that's needed in her field and very knowledgeable of the students on a individual basis.
Teacher Reflections:
 After visiting McIver Education Center Coach Cheeks gave me a lot of pointers on how to understand the students on a individual basis. Coach Cheeks is a very knowledgeable teacher of her content and watching her made me want to strive even harder. With the use of some of her strategies, and hard work I will become even better at understanding the content as well as the students in my field.
