Goals:
 To make sure all students have a great understanding of what is taking place and having a fun time doing the activities.
Objectives:
 1. Roll Call 2. Walk/Run (5-10min) 3. Circle Time 4. Activity: Basktetball
Materials:
 Basketball, Gym, Colored chips or small shapes, and Posters giving the students a visual of what their gonna do.
Introduction:
 Roll call: The students go to the board after hearing their name and take their name off the wall.
Development:
 Alot of Modeling Gestures and Cues are used. Coach Cheeks and the substitute teacher model the activity that is being played that day this give the students a visual out look on how things suppose to be done.
Practice:
 Coach Cheeks guide the student through the activity for example in backetball holding the student hand while they trying to dribble the ball so that they get the feeling of how to do it. Then some students actually get it and some dont.
Accommodations:
 With basketball all rules still apply but theres no calls. The players can run with the ball or even try to dribble the ball. The basketball has to be made in the correct end of the court. No fouls are called unless student is extremely to rough. Coach Cheeks said if calls where made then there wouldn't be a game.
Checking For Understanding:
 Coach Cheeks gives out a 50/50% on KP and KR. She stated that this depends on the student.
Closure:
 5 min walk around the gym and then clean up.
Evaluation:
 Coach Cheeks is a teacher. She knows how to handle the kids, and the kids seem to understand and is very excited to see coach when they enter the gym. Coach Cheek is very knowledgeable of the content in the area as well as the understanding of each kid
Teacher Reflections:
 After attending McIver Education center, I learned alot from Coach cheeks. She taught me how to look at the students at an individual standpoint and not as a whole. Being knowledgeable of the content and of the students is also a big plus because teaching isn't easy and trying to teach students that dont learn as fast as the normal kids is even harder.
