When completed, TSW be able to present facts about the topic and also discuss personal opinions about information gathered from the scavenger hunt.

Introduction:
TSW discuss the information we have learned from our novel, "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" so far. TSW be told that now they will learn more about the man who created the Chronicles of Narnia to help them better understand how the book came about.
Development:
TTW provide direct instruction to the students on how to begin the scavenger hunt. Each set of partners will be given a slip of paper on which will be the necessary website. Once all students have logged on to the website, TTW walk them through answering the first question on the worksheet. Once this is done, the students will continue on with their partner as the teacher monitors.
Practice:
TSW gain more confidence with researching on the internet as they practice by continuing the scavenger hunt with their partner.
Accommodations:
As needed, TTW assist students who require additional help. As this is an accelerated class, most students should be able to complete independently.
Checking For Understanding:
TTW monitor the student's progress throughout the activity, checking for understanding by looking over the student's responses to the questions.
Closure:
TSW gather together as a group to discuss the facts and opinions they have developed from this scavenger hunt. TTW facilitate discussion.
Evaluation:
TSW be evaluated based upon their answers to the comprehension questions and their participation in the classroom after the scavenger hunt is complete.
Teacher Reflections:
The students are still struggling a bit with getting the actual website address typed into the address bar correctly. We will focus on this a bit more during the next activity.
