Exaggerated details that describe things as greater than they really are. Characters who use everyday languae. Teacher gives students background on Tall Tells. |
Practice: | Guided reading of Johnny Appleseed. Teacher asks students to orally identify the features of a Tall Tell in Johnny Appleseed. Teacher will review vocabulary words. |
Accommodations: | Students will be able to use word processor and spell check. Students will be able to use online dictionary to define words. Students will be able to draw a picture to illustrate Tall Tell and give oral presentation. |
