 Create a newsletter based on the attached research about the history of Halloween, jack-o-lanterns, costumes, the name Halloween, and other topics. You must have two separate topics with two ORQs answered.
Goals:
 Newsletter contains: heading 2 subheading with a paragraph each of expository writing 1 picture name date use of text boxes, font, and other tools to make and appealing newsletter
Objectives:
 Given the research, and the asignment checklist, and past experience with word document studetns will create an expository newsletter informing readers aobut hte hisotry of Halloween, Given the research, and the asignment checklist, and past experience with word document studens will use text boxes to frmat the newsletter. Materials:
 computer, transparency of assignment, checklist, information packet about the history of Halloween.
Introduction:
 We have been practicing wrting open response question answers all term. Additionally students have just completed a lesson on adding pictures from files into word documents. Students will be given packets of inforation on Halloween and asked to wrtie expository newsletters informing readers about Halloween.
Development:
 I will go over the assignment. Pass out the model I made, the checklist, and rubric. I will also leave direction for adding ictures and text boxes on the board and refer students to their ORQ gradign policy.
Practice:
 I wil circulate aroudn the lab checking student progress.
