Goals: | By the end of class students will have a working knowledge of their local library, its location and its general use. They will have familiarized themselves with the available resources and also gained the confidence and speaking skills to seek information in a library setting. |
Objectives: | Recognize the different parts of the library (physical layout, available resources). Interface with librians and clerks to access information or get direction. Follow directions that are given to them. |
Materials: | Large paper, pen/pencil, transportation |

Development: | Complete library mapping activity to become familiar with an example layout of a library. Asking for help. Where do you go? What do you say? Dialogue |
