Goals: | To encourage, enlighten and help us all understand that we are accepted in Christ as equal members of his body. We have value in his eyes and on this side of heaven will never fully grasp the enormity of His love for us! |
Objectives: | Make this an interactive Bible study with participation from all, a small video clip, and a song and prayer to end it. |
Materials: | Clip from, "Voyage of the dawn treader" Play my song' "All I Need to Know" |
Introduction: | Introduction, open with prayer, then read the 3rd chapter of Ephesians. |
Development: | Go over the basics of the exegetical perspective, why we need to look at this first, then the hermeneutical perspectives. |
Practice: | Hand out the contrasting statements or verses. In pairs have each come up with a personal example of one of them (or 2 depending on the number of attendees) |
Accommodations: | Play the video clip |
Checking For Understanding: | Ask questions about someone that made them "feel" loved and someone that did not. Maya Angelo quote. |
Closure: | Sing them my song about the passage and offer to pray for them and with them. |
