 In this lesson, we will first briefly cover the basic questions that need to be answered prior to planning an event or party. The basic questions we will cover are: Who, What, When, Where, and Why. Following the basic questions, we will answer the final question, How, and explain the steps that coincide with the details of planning an event or party.
Goals:
 The outcome of this lesson is to ensure that students are able to use the knowledge and skills attained within, in order to successfully ask and answer the basic questions required prior to planning an event or party. In addition, the aim of this lesson is to further promote students creativity and imagination throughout the learning process, in order to promote originality.
Objectives:
 Given a hypothetical scenario, students must be able to successfully obtain the answers to the basic questions learned in this lesson. Using the acquired information, students must then be able to provide original and creative ideas that will start the planning process.
Materials:

Introduction:
 Everyone loves a party. A short video that includes clips of celebrity soirees, like birthday parties, award shows, movie/film festivals, and fashion line debuts will help grab and hold student attention.
Development:
 Through a combination of direct instruction and inquiry, students will learn how to not only identify and gain the basic information required prior to planning an event or party, but also how to use this knowledge to provide original and creative outcomes in the planning process.
Practice:
 In an effort to provide opportunites for students to practice the application of the knowledge gained from this lesson, students will be provided with several hypothetical scenarios in which answers will need to be provided. Practices will include independent, as well as group activities.
Accommodations:
 In an effort to provide differentiated instruction, information will be provided using Powerpoint software, and Audio/Visual equipment.
Checking For Understanding:
 In order to ensure that students are understanding the information provided, hypothetical situations will be presented that will require answers based on the knowledge gained.
Closure:
 As a final project, and an end to the lesson, students will work together to plan a party commemorating what has been learned, while applying the knowledge and skills attained throughout the lesson.
Evaluation:
 Once the final project has been completed, students' success will be determined not only on the overall outcome of the planned party, but also on individual performance and participation.
