Content:
 live , family, stall,grapes ,olives, potatoes. tomatoes,fruit, vegetables.
Goals:
 Students will create their own stories given some examples. Students will recognize and include the names of the towns of Baja California.
Objectives:
 children practice language in a regional setting. Students will recognize and include proper nouns and grammar including capital letters,and complete sentences.
Materials:
 Baja California map, colors,scissors,drawing pins. flash cards, English book " Sunshine for Baja ".
Introduction:
  show children the baja california map,ask them the name of the place where the school is,can anybody identify the place on the map? ask guiding questions during the story including how they would feel if they were the character Rodrigo living in Tecate.
Development:
 After completing the story, create a story with the class based on the words �New Friend.� Fill in the story by asking students how they would make a new friend that they met comfortable.
Practice:
 read about Rodrigo. read the text to the children, get them to point to each picture as it comes up in the text.
Accommodations:
 Have students create their own stories about the new child that lives in Tecate. This child does not know anyone of Mexicali but he is speaking about their life in Tecate.
Checking For Understanding:
 ask the children to talk about Rodrigo using the pictures for help them.
Closure:
 Let students share their stories with the class. Publish their stories by mounting them on construction paper and create a bulletin board with them or laminate stories and bind them together to make a class book.
Evaluation:
 participation in groups and individually. Explain that in addition to answering the questions, each group will present what they learned about Rodrigo. Encourage them to use their imaginations in how they re-create the live in Mexicali with their Family , dress in costumes.
