Objective: The student will be able to mix red and white paints together to make different hues of Valentine's Day colors.

Resources:

Red and white paint

Paper

Paint brushes

Small containers of water

Activities:

Have students experiment with mixing red and white paint together in different ratios on their paper. Encourage them to fill the whole paper with different shades of red, white, and pink. After the papers are dry, you could frame them, put them together in a collage, or have the students make Valentine's Day cards with them.

Wrap Up:

This activity could also be done on mural paper with large paint brushes. The finished product can be cut into pieces and used as wrapping paper.
