Lesson Plan Title : Duck Feet Addition

Age Range: Kindergarten through grade 2 (Primary)

Overview and Purpose: Students practice their addition skills in this activity. They try to match a duck with its correct feet.

Objective: The student will be able to solve addition problems using paper ducks.

Resources:

Paper ducks with answers to simple addition problems written on them

Paper duck feet

Glue or tape

Crayons

Activities:

Have students practice their addition skills with this activity. Pass out two or three paper ducks and pairs of feet to each student. Have the students write two numbers on the feet that would solve the addition problem and glue the feet to the duck. They can then color their ducks.

Wrap Up:

You can also have the numbers already written on the duck's feet and have the students match the duck with the correct feet.
