Objective: The student will be able to use the computer to create a friendship poster.
Microsoft Word access for each student
Have the students use WordArt in Microsoft Word to create words that describe friendship. After they are finished, they can print their words, cut them out, and arrange them on a piece of construction paper to make a poster. You might want to make a list of some of the more common words that are used to describe friendship and tell the students they cannot use them, e.g., nice, kind, and friendly.
This activity could be modified so that students must include an adverb with each adjective that they use. You could also make it more personal by having them describe the traits that they would like to have in a friend.
