Lesson Plan Title : Hide My Eggs Here

Age Range: Kindergarten through grade 2 (Primary)

Overview and Purpose: In this activity, students create a map to show the Easter Bunny where they would like him to hide their eggs.

Objective: The student will be able to create a map showing the Easter Bunny where to hide his Easter eggs.

Resources:

Drawing paper

Pencils/crayons

Chart paper

Activities:

Ask students if they ever have trouble finding any of the Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny leaves. Tell them that today they're going to make a map showing him where they want him to hide their eggs. Start the lesson by having the students help you make a map of where the Easter Bunny can leave the Easter eggs in their classroom. Help them remember to include windows, doors, desks, and bookshelves. They can create ovals where they want the eggs to be left. After you've completed the class map, have students make individual maps of their living rooms.

Wrap Up:

You can frame the maps and send them home to the parents as cute Easter keepsakes. If you live in a warm climate at Easter time, you can take the students outside to create an outdoor map for the Easter Bunny.
