1. Did you know that gophers can dig tunnels that travel a half a mile in under an hour?

2. A typical gophers will eat 40 pounds of worms in a year and dig over 50 miles of tunnels in their life.

Tunnel Fact:

1. The longest tunnel in the world is 85 miles long and provides New York City with it's main water supply. It took 6 years to construct. The gophers didn't pitch in on that one!
