Objective: The student will be able to create a storyboard for a book they are reading.

Resources:

Poster board (one piece per student) B

lank paper

Pencils/colored pencils

Activities:

Have each student create a storyboard for the book they are reading. The board should include pictures of each critical scene and include a summary with each picture. (Set a minimum number of scenes based on the length of the book.) The students can share the boards with the class.

Closure:

If the students do storyboards on the same class book, have them divide up into groups to share their work. Each student should remove one picture from their board and challenge the members of their group to figure out which scene is missing.
