Lesson Plan Title : A Day in the Life of a Leprechaun
Age Range: Grade 3 through grade 5 (Elementary)
Overview and Purpose: Did you ever wonder what Leprechauns did all day? In this writing assignment, students tell you. They read stories about Leprechauns and then they write about what they think a day in the life of one of them would be like.
Objective: The student will be able to write an account about the day in a life of a Leprechaun.

Traditional stories about Leprechaun's
Activities:
Read some of the traditional stories about Leprechauns your students. Have them write two or three paragraphs about a day in the life of a Leprechaun. Have them include where he lives, what he eats, and what he does during the day. Encourage the students to be creative and even make up places and food if it fits their story.
Wrap Up:
When the students have finished, have them share their stories with the class. You can extend this lesson into art by having your students draw a picture showing part of the Leprechaun's day.
