Brainstorm with your students a list of superstitions. Divide the class into pairs and have them choose a superstition. Give them time to research the superstition's origin and evidence about whether the superstition is true or not. Then have them use the information to create two or three Power Point slides explaining the superstition. Encourage the students to be creative in their presentations and share them with the class when everyone is finished.

Wrap Up:

Students can also do this lesson individually or without using Power Point. They can write a report, create a news report on the superstition, or make a poster about it.
