Description: Students will take a character from a book they have read and become that character and try to persuade another character from the book to do or become something.
Students will write persuasive essays.
Students will take on characteristics of a character in literature.
Students will understand how to persuade and write a persuasive essay.
Recently read book
First students will have to choose a book they have read.
Next ask student to choose a character from the book that they want to assume the identity of.
Then explain to them that they are going to have to choose another character to try and persuade to do something different ten what they did in the book.
Have students write an essay showing the persuasion of the character.
Assessment: Read essays and check for understanding of persuasion.
