Large sheets of paper
On top of each piece of paper, write one of the five food groups. Have the students cut out foods that they think would be good to have at a Thanksgiving feast. Have them glue the foods on to the appropriate food group paper.
When everyone is finished, discuss the items on each paper. If any are on the wrong paper, help students figure out where they belong.
For homework, write the correct number of servings you should have of each food group each day. Have students write a journal entry describing which of the foods they would choose to eat on Thanksgiving Day.
