Introduction:  
  For centuries Mesoamerica and South America were home to some of the worlds most advanced civilizations. Mesoamerica is the sub-tropical region located between North America and South America that includes Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvadore.
Task:  
  Journey through time while exploring the rise and fall of Mesoamerican cultures over 3,000 years.

Your task will be to identify and explain why the Mayan, Aztec and Incan civilizations were considered advanced.
Process:

-Use the peru-travel-confidential.com to fill in the question sheer and color in the map where the Incas were located.

-When exploring the ballgame.org website focus on the Aztec and Maya civilizations.

-Examine the culture, artwork and ballgames of both the Maya and the Aztecs.

Evaluation:  
  For homework, write a one page essay about life as an Aztec, Incan or Mayan citizen. The essay should be written from the point of view of a citizen of 1 of the 3 civilizations.

Essays should include:
-Role in society (Priest, warrior, farmer, slave, governement official, etc.)
-Daily activities (farming, worshipping, eating, sports, hunting, making artwork etc.)

Conclusion:  
  Once the question sheets and maps have been completed, we will discuss our findings as a class. We will also play a trivia game using the ballgame.org website.
