Age Range: Kindergarten through grade 2 (Primary)
Overview and Purpose: In this activity, students interview each other to find out which green foods are the most popular. They then work together with their group to create a graph showing their results.
Objective: The student will be able to create a graph showing how many students like various green foods.
Resources:
Chart paper
Markers
Teacher created worksheet
Activities:
Ask your students to name as many green foods as they can and write them on a piece of chart paper. Divide the students into small groups and have each group take turns choosing one item from the list and writing it on their worksheet. Have the students then move around the room and ask their classmates if they like the foods on their list. Have each group create a graph showing the results of their survey. When all the groups are finished, have them share their results with the class.

Wrap Up:
Each group should have a unique set of foods to ask the students about. When the students have made all the graphs have them work together to find out what the top three favorite foods are. If possible, consider bringing those foods in for a special snack.
