Using Irregular Verbs
The many forms of a verb are based on its three principal parts:the present, the past, and the past participle.
Example: help(present) helped(past) have helped(past participle)
Directions: Underline the correct form of the verb from those given in parentheses.
1. I haven't (gave,given) my poetry reading yet. 2. Before Columbus, scientists (knew,known) that the earth was round. 3. My summer vacation certainly (went,gone) quickly. 4. Another spacecraft has (went,gone) into orbit around the moon. 5. Grapes have (grew,grown) in this valley for years. 6. My father has (gave,given) me a new pair of ice skates. 7.
